Election Trust's 'Kiosk' eVoting a USA First

Election Trust's 'Kiosk' eVoting a USA First:

Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) April 3, 2009 -- Election Trust, working with the King Conservation District (King CD), successfully introduced the first public sector use of binding remote electronic voting technology in the United States under the company's administration of King CD's March 19th Board of Supervisors election.

The eVote Kiosk balloting system was available at two of 13 Voting Centers located across King County. This internet balloting platform, powered by Scytl Secure Electronic Voting (www.scytl.com), provided end-to-end encrypted and auditable online balloting for voters who chose to cast an online ballot. Voters at these polling locations could also opt to use a paper ballot.
