"This year’s AMS elections, which will take place from January 29 to February 4, will be conducted using the Condorcet ranked-pairs method of voting, a system which is considered to be fairer than the first-past-the-post method used in previous elections. Supporters also hope that the system will promote a greater level of voter engagement while preventing vote-splitting and strategic voting."
