Anger over call to axe blind voting trial - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation):
The Human Rights Commissioner says he is hurt and angry that a federal parliamentary committee has recommended the Government scrap electronic voting for blind people.
There was a trial of electronic assistance for blind voters at the last election, which meant they could cast a secret ballot for the first time.
But the Electoral Matters Committee says it is too expensive to continue with the trial.
