Electoral council slams failings of Colombia election system

Electoral council slams failings of Colombia election system:

The President of the National Electoral Council, Marco Emilio Hincapie, says that Colombia's electoral system is falling apart, is too slow in counting votes and is no longer reliable, reports Caracol Radio.

Hincapie urged that the Colombian government to implement an electronic voting system. He said he had proposed the idea to the government but had received no reply.
