Cobourg council this week received a report on how the town fared in the 2010 municipal elections by going to an all-online format.
The big news is that the town saved $35,000 and saw voter turnout increase to 47.3% from 44.9% in 2006, according to information shared at the committee-of-the-whole meeting.
While the cost of the municipal election had increased $6,000 to $87,895 in 2006, it fell to $52,460 in 2010. --->>>
